We have two locations. Our Bakersfield center is located at 1300 18th Street in Downtown Bakersfield. Our South Kern center is located at 12022 Main Street inside of the Lamont Courthouse. Directions can be found on the Contact Us page on our website.
The KCFJC is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm excluding Holidays; walk-ins are welcome from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
Yes. However, when you meet with one of our professionals at the KCFJC, your friend or family member will be asked to wait in the waiting area.
Yes, you can file for a temporary protection order at the KCFJC. There is no cost.
All client records and information are kept in the strictest of confidence. Information will not be shared without a written release form from the client or where legal exceptions exist.
No. Clients do not pay for any of the services provided at the KCFJC.

We have street parking in front of the building and a parking garage directly behind our Bakersfield center. At our South Kern center, there is parking available in the court parking lot. There is no cost to park at either location.
Appointments are not necessary. Clients are seen on a first come, first served basis.
